We went to a Family Pride Event last weekend (http://www.southfloridafamilypride.com/) Great event, great families. It was our first time attending a family event like this one and taking our baby, and we were watching to see what his reaction was when he saw there were others kids with two mommies and two daddies, and it caught our attention that he did not pay attention to that, to him, and to many kids that is something superficial, they do not discriminate or judge, wouldn’t it be great if for a day our community had the innocence and acceptance of a child?
It was also great to meet others that feel like us misunderstood and discriminated, but we cannot just talk about it, we have to act upon it, and God said it himself in the Bible, “Become as little children. Humble, teachable and free from selfish ambition, like little children” If children accept and love our community, their two mommies and two daddies, who is anyone to go against us and our rights?
