This event announces and celebrates all that will unfold with Pridefest 2009. Learn more about the overall Pridefest
2009 schedule. Enjoy performances by the reigning Mr., Ms. and Miss Pridefest 2008, as well as be introduced to the
new contestants who desire to wear the crowns for 2009. Complimentary appetizers. Happy Hours drink prices.

HOUSE TOUR 12noon‐5pm, 5 HOMES
Key West members will open their doors to their lovely homes for this very special house tour. Homes selected for
the tour represent the most creative and distinctive decorating styles. Complimentary reception at the last house of
the tour. Admission: $20, which includes a reception at 4pm at the last house on the tour.
MR. PRIDEFEST 2009 8‐10 pm BOURBON STREET PUB 724 DUVAL STREET
The hottest men in Key West will compete for the crown of Mr. Pridefest 2009. Contestants will model fashionable
(and not so fashionable) swim wear, demonstrate a variety of talents and share their views of current issues. As Mr.
Pridefest 2009, the winner pledges to work with GLCC Key West on program implementation and fund raising.

CAP (CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENT IN PRIDE) AWARDS 7pm CRYSTAL ROOM AT LA TE DA 1125 DUVAL STREET
Co‐sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian Community Center and the Key West Business Guild, The Gay Rag and
Centennial Bank, this event recognizes the contributions made by members of the Key West community in enhancing
the quality of life in Key West. Nominations are submitted from the community at large in such categories as
Business & Professional Leadership, Community Promoter and Generous Heart; just to name a few. A committee
composed of members of the Gay and Lesbian Community Center and the Key West Business Guild review all
nominations and select the winners. Awards are presented at this special event to be held at La Te Da’s cabaret

Contestants for Ms. Pridefest 2009 “enjoy being a girl!” Key West ladies will demonstrate their talents, their sense of
fashion and their spontaneity in dealing with unexpected situations. Certainly Home Depot Gold Card holders and
pick‐up truck owners will have the competitive edge. As Ms. Pridefest 2009, the winner pledges to work with GLCC
